Hermeneutics and biblical interpretation have developed widely throughout Latin America in the last decades and in the beginning of this new Century. Most of the current results of this work have been published in Spanish and  Portuguese. Eventually, a selection of articles and some books have been translated and published in English or  other languages. Yet the majority of this production,   which includes many very interesting and creative works, remains inaccessible to those who cannot read Spanish and/or Portuguese.

ISEDET has decided to publish digitally the present Journal in English (with some articles in German and French). Our purpose is to include translations of previous works and new articles so as to contribute to the dialogue among scholars and other people interested in the subject in other parts of the world where English has become the lingua franca.
